It's taking over!

Help me identify this plant, please. Will it ever bloom, is it just big leaves. I don't like it and if it doesn't bloom something pretty soon, it has to go. Does it have a purpose? (click to enlarge)

It has been identified as a confederate rose!

Then there are pretty roses all over, too. Here are some yellow ones from the back yard.
